Today, on your birthday, I miss you more than words can say.

I will always remember the days I spent beside you during your treatment and how much I wished I could take your illness away and give you my own years, just so you could stay with your daughters and watch them grow.

If love could have saved you, you would still be here.
You are forever in my heart, and your daughters will always carry your love with them.

I love you, I miss you, and I will never forget you.

Today, May 2nd, marks one year since my sister, Hanan Alkhatib, passed away.

I still can’t believe how fast the days have gone by. It feels like just yesterday, yet at the same time, my heart has felt her absence every single day. Losing her has left a pain that hasn’t healed, and I know my heart will never be the same.

We shared so many moments together, especially during her treatment—time I will always hold close to me.

I pray for you every day, Hanan, asking God to keep you in a beautiful place until we meet again. I miss you more than words can express. You are in my heart with every breath I take.

Until we meet again…
