This Saturday, join us for a unique special event at Music Mountain.
At 7:00. pm, we will screen F.W. Murnau’s Sunrise (1927), a silent film masterpiece of love, betrayal, and redemption. Enhanced by live music composed and performed by pianist Donald Sosin with singer/percussionist Joanna Seaton, this poetic double-Oscar winner is considered one of the greatest films ever made. This kind of event does not grace the calendar every day, and is an evening you cannot pass up.

SATURDAY: 7-time (yes, 7!) Grammy Award winner Paul Winter performs “Brazilian Journey,” featuring his soprano sax, cellist Dave Haughey and the groundbreaking piano playing of Henrique Eisenmann.

Winter’s musical odyssey has long embraced the cultures and creatures of the world. From the early days of his college jazz sextet, which toured 23 countries of Latin America for the State Department and performed the first-ever jazz concert at the White House for the Kennedys in 1962, to his later ensemble, the Paul Winter Consort, Paul Winter’s concert tours and recording expeditions have taken him to 52 countries and to wilderness areas on six continents, where he has traveled on rafts, dog sleds, mules, kayaks, tugboats, and Land Rovers. He has recorded over 50 albums, of which seven have been honored with Grammy Awards.
