Welcome to The Joint Next Door! We're a local full-service restaurant and bar. We are tucked away in the Blue Ridge Mountains; in beautiful Fairview, NC. We offer a wide variety of hand selected local and domestic beer. Our wine list is conscientiously designed with each taste in mind. We serve a carefully curated menu from The Local Joint. Come enjoy live music performed by local artists, and much more. We are a local, family-owned business. We play brand-new classic rock along with classic rock favorites.

John Keck is originally from California but now lives in Asheville, NC. While living in California, John had a record deal with Epic Records in the 90's with his band, Hand of Fate. John has performed with people from Red Hot Chili Peppers, Pearl Jam, and The Smashing Pumpkins. His earlier stuff was Alternative Rock. John stopped playing music over 25 years ago, but he started writing songs and playing again in 2018. John's music is influenced by Tom Petty, Led Zeppelin, The Rolling Stones, David Bowie, Pink Floyd, and The Beatles. His band, the John Keck Band, plays in the Asheville area.

Raphael Graves has been performing and recording music in Western North Carolina since 2008, with occasional time spent in theatre and directing music videos. While stylistically a rock vocalist, his work has been a feature in numerous acts throughout the years. From performing tributes to inspirational artists like Jane’s Addiction & Pink Floyd, as well as his current 80’s tribute act, LAZRLUVR, and original multi-genre music, Raphael adapts to diverse demands. Though recently displaced from Asheville, NC in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene (2024), Raphael is still performing, producing and maintaining a fully booked calendar. As of 2025, he has produced and co-produced, four studio records dating back to 2010 and spanning multiple genres. He has won multiple awards in WNC as a vocalist in numerous projects over the years, including being recognized by Asheville, North Carolina’s publication, MountainXpress, as a top vocalist in the region.

Raphael is known for his genre versatility, subversion and commitment, with a chameleon-like ability to navigate vocal and musical stylings across generations. His live performances are often unpredictable and continue to sell out all over North & South Carolina.

From good ole’ Rock n’ Roll to a modern Appalachian Americana sound and beyond, Raphael embraces a spectrum of performance art and storytelling, with themes of love, culture, resilience, and adventure. From weddings to large-scale productions serving thousands, Raphael truly lives and breathes live music, bringing admiration and respect for his craft with him, regardless of the venue size or set volume.

The BRUE is David Tarpley on lead and rhythm guitar, Lou Collichio on drums and vocals, and Karl Knutson on bass and vocals. Three guys who have a great time making music together.

We pride ourselves on playing a wide variety of familiar tunes that you don't hear all the time. Music that we enjoy and that our audience can enjoy. The comment and compliment we get the most often is "I love your variety of music."

The BRUE brings that classic rock crunch with a little pop, a little blues, and a lotta groove. Killer musicians, good-time energy.
