Two premium Joe Thomas' Six Springs Farm Wagyu patties, aggressively seared with a heavy dose of our signature Smashy Patty's Seasoning. Served on a toasted pretzel bun, cut in half, and plated standing in a rich pool of house-made, cayenne-spiked cheese sauce for the ultimate dip. Accompanied by warm, fresh-cooked potato chips.

🦪 THE TRADITION CONTINUES at Gunselman’s Tavern! 🦪

Did you know that Cleveland is the fall clambake capital of the United States? We actually consume more clams during September and October than almost anywhere else in the country! It all started in the mid-19th century when railroad lines allowed fresh East Coast seafood shipments to stop in Cleveland for re-icing. Wealthy locals and industrialists, like the Rockefellers, started buying up these New England delicacies for their fall gatherings.

Instead of traditional beach fires and sand pits, Clevelanders adapted the meal into an easier one-pot steam method. Local cooks even added a roasted half-chicken to the mix, creating the signature Northeast Ohio combination we know and love. Early records show we've been doing this locally since at least 1866!

Here at Gunselman's Tavern, we are proud to keep that old-school backyard clambake tradition alive. We've been slinging clambakes on West 215th Street in Fairview Park since bell-bottoms were in style the first time.

Using a family recipe that's older than most of our bartenders, Master Clambaker Irish Kevin is back at it. Our clams come courtesy of Joe at Lobster Brothers in Westlake, sourced straight from Narragansett Bay, Rhode Island!

Join us on the patio for these upcoming Sundays! Doors open at 11:00 AM. Irish Kevin's legendary clam chowder and broth get the afternoon started at 12:00 PM before the main clambakes are served at 1:00 PM.

Happy Labor Day! 🛠️❤️
We are closed today—and on every major holiday—so our incredible, hard-working crew can unplug, relax, and make memories with their families.
We owe so much to the team that keeps us running every single day, and giving them time off to spend with their loved ones is the least we can do.

Wow, what an honor! 🥂 A huge thank you to and author Alex Darus for featuring not just one, but BOTH of the patios in The Plum Creek Hamlet on their list of "15 Cleveland Patios to Visit Before Summer Ends!"
