Time for a nightcap! This one may sound a little odd, but remember, the sum is greater than the parts. Today's recipe is the "White Bat". When you're in the mood for a sweet, creamy, dessert/float type drink: Fill a 10-12oz glass with ice. Pour in 1.5 oz of white rum, .5 oz of coffee liqueur (i.e. Kahlua), 1.5 oz of half & half. (or whole milk). Shake that up and top with 3oz of cola. Cheers.

Looks like we have a little summer weather left. How about one last summer cocktail. The classic: Margarita. A simple recipe that always worked for me, 1.5 oz Tequila (100% agave, Blanco or Reposado), 1oz triple sec (Cointreau if u really wanna take it up a notch), 3/4 oz fresh lime juice (fresh! Not Rose's), and a sq**rt of Agave Nectar (usually found in the organic section or Wegman's). 1/2 oz at the most. Shake it up good, serve up, or on the rocks. Salt optional. Salud!

Looking to try something different in a nice summer white wine? Grab a bottle from the Rueda region of Spain. The white wines of Rueda are Spain's answer to Sauvignon Blanc. If you enjoy Sauv Blanc's from New Zealand or France, give Rueda a try. Nice crisp, citrusy, summer wines. Cheers!

Time for a RocMixology wine recommendation: One of my favorite red wines, especially when the weather starts to warm up, is grenache. Almira "Los Dos", is a blend of Grenache (85%) and Syrah (15%) from Spain. A great value wine, it can be purchased at some local wine stores for under $9. Well balanced, really enjoyable, especially for the price. Cheers.
