Just think… ET Barnette & his wife were dropped off here exactly 125 years ago today. I hear his wife started crying when she stepped ashore off of the SS Lavelle Young. Good reason to celebrate! Not because of Isabelle Cleary Barnette’s sadness, but because they established our golden heart of the Interior community. Stop by Fairbanks Distilling Company downtown and raise a glass in salute to our forefather, Captain Elbridge Truman Barnette our town’s first Mayor. Open 4-8:30pm W-F & noon-8:30pm on Saturday. Visit fairbanksdistilling.com for more info.
