Hi guys! I know I have not posted a lot on The Buckhorn page lately. The days have been flying by….We are traveling 700+ miles a week. Days are long (five days per week) and we have had some fun Wisconsin roads to travel (ice storms, snowstorms, below zero temps) . Josh and I would love to thank each and every one of you for your prayers, kind words, donations, and help with things from shoveling sidewalks to wood on the fire. We hope to see everyone 2/7 at The Buckhorn!!

Week three of treatment was a crazy blur. We ended up in EC for three nights with long days of appointments, radiation and infusion. Josh decided we neeeed more excitement, so he developed a blood clot. Thankfully we put on a few less miles, with staying. The roads were not fun on our way to EC last week, and equally not as fun on our way home. We did have a nice day at home yesterday. I got the tree down, and the house cleaned, and caught up on some laundry. Sounds like today, our trip might be a little icky again. Thank you again for the prayers and love and support! We feel it! We had a little hicccup today with treatment. Josh woke up around 3 a.m. coughing (nothing new with radiation - dry mouth/throat, thickened secretions), however, this time he said his right calf felt like he was getting “poked with a needle,” when he coughed. Thankfully we saw his Oncologist today after bloodwork and radiation. She ordered an ultrasound and just as we suspected, he has a blood clot. He was placed on a blood thinner and just needs to take it easy, elevate, heat, etc. He was a little bummed about it, but at least we were in the right place at the right time. Please keep us in your prayers! Thank you - we appreciate them all! Josh Olsen
