What a spectacular day! Huge thanks to everyone who came out to the Callan Plaza Block Party on Saturday afternoon! It was a wonderful community celebration that brought together neighbors, friends, business and organizations. Guests enjoyed treats from C&W Market and Ice Cream , Peckish Pig , & Ward Eight ; met friends from PALMHOUSE & Where Beauty Meets Culture | Black-Owned ; and took one last dive into summer fun on the water slide. Thank you to the City of Evanston , Enjoy Evanston & Rogers Park Business Alliance for their support! To all of our friends and neighbors,

Our best buddy Zeff who runs a residency with us every Tiki Tuesday with roger_rose_tiki was injured pretty bad last week. Doctors expect him to make a full recovery but he has sustained significant burns that will keep him in the hospital and out of work for a few months as he heals.
For now, Tiki Tuesday’s are on pause. We ask that if you had planned to join Zeff this evening for a tiki cocktail or smashburger that you kindly support him instead through this GoFundMe campaign.( https://gofund.me/b79f0613f )
Like the true ska-punk-rocker he is 🤘, Zeff is healing in great spirits. We’re hoping you’d join us in lifting him up to keep those spirits soaring on his path to recovery as friends, love, and laughter will forever be the best medicine.

What a wonderful day at the Main Street Fair - Evanston, IL ! Thanks to everyone who stopped by the Howard Street - Evanston tent to chat with friends from Ward Eight , Peckish Pig, Beards & Bellas & Palmhouse . It was lovely to see so many neighbors, make new connections, and share all that’s going on in our SSA. We also shared t-shirts, sweet treats, and sips from the Ward 8 Secret Stash 😉 It was a true community celebration, and we were honored to be part of it!

Our hearts rest in the joys and comforts of good company, shared histories, and taking care of one another. There is something about the essence of herbal liqueurs and amari in which through their flavor and distillation, they beckon those who have heard the calls of empathy and kindness. They become an elixir for warmth and a bit of peace.

We’ve put together a special bottling of our house amaro barrel aged for over a year to bring that to you for whatever days you may need a dram of it. This is a 24 bottle batch hand dipped and nestle in a box for safe keeping.
