An evening of elevated w**e tasting awaits...
We invite you to explore the pleasures of France as we enjoy exclusive w**es from Burgundy.
For lovers of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, this is the weekend you definitely don't want to miss!
For only $40, you'll experience:
Two Chardonnays:
-Jean-Marc Brocard Chablis 2024: The northernmost Burgundian w**e region, sitting on Kimmeridgian limestone which provides the steely mineral-saline length and chalk-tinged citrus character that define these w**es.
-Bouchard Meursault 2022: Farther south in Burgundy proper, this is the chardonnay capital of the Côte de Beaune. Medium to full-bodied Chardonnay with French oak influence balanced with acidity, hazelnut and almond aromatics, and butter-pastry texture.
Four Pinot Noirs:
-Bouchard Côte de Nuits-Villages 2015: The Côte de Nuits is the northern sub-region of Burgundy's Côte d'Or region; offering a fuller and earthier style than the lighter w**es of the Côte de Beaune, serving as an approachable, great-value bridge to more expensive Burgundian bottles. The 2015 vintage will be a special treat.
-Château de Marsannay 'Marsannay' 2019: The northernmost Côte de Nuits Village AOC, known for Pinots with mid-weight, red-fruited (cherry, raspberry, red currant), modest tannic structure, refreshing acidity from a cooler microclimate.
-Vincent Girardin ‘Terre d’Enfance’ Santenay 2023: The southernmost prestigious Village AOC of the Côte de Beaune (excluding Maranges). Known for medium-bodied Pinots with red and dark fruits and firm tannic structure.
-Louis Jadot (Domaine Prieur-Brunet) ‘La Maladière’ Santenay 1er Cru 2022: Santenay's most historically resonant Premier Cru, named for medieval hospitals and produces mineral-driven Pinots of angular, austere character.
And for our W**e Club Members:
-Michel Magnien 'Fixin' 2023: Fixin is a small Village AOC of the Côte de Nuits sitting between Marsannay to the north and Gevrey-Chambertin to the south. This w**e has a firm tannic backbone, dark-fruited register, and serious ageing capacity at a lower price-point than Gevrey.
We look forward to experiencing Burgundy with you this weekend, only at Cork & Flame!
We love seeing new faces during our weekend w**e tastings! Starting at 5PM through 7PM every Friday and Saturday, you'll simply walk into our w**e market and see one of our sommeliers at the back counter to start your tasting, or you can sit in the main restaurant and still enjoy the tasting as a flight.
Light Tapas Menu and Full Dinner Menu are available in the W**e Market.
