McMenamins East 19th Street Café Perched on the lively campus of the University of Oregon, near Mac Court, the East 19th Street Café is right in line with the latter-day-hippie vibe at U of O.

Outside our front door is one of the first original peace poles, reading "May Peace Prevail on Earth" in four different languages including what has been described as "animal language." Animals, huh? Well, they did shoot the classic Belushi comedy Animal House at U of O didn't they? It all makes sense to us.

Every corner of the pub tells a story through the lens of McMenamins' signature "historical surrealism," brought to life by our incredible team of resident creatives. Among the mesmerizing details on display are the vibrant works of longtime McMenamins artist Myrna Yoder. From intricate decorative borders and hand-painted details to characters deeply rooted in Pacific Northwest folklore, Myrna’s paintings blend local history with a whimsical, dreamy style that makes East 19th feel completely unique.
