We operate between late September and about April--the house is too warm during the other months. Admission is often by donation, with all proceeds going to the musicians. Space is limited, so attendance for each show is capped and you must reserve your spot. Directions:
From Route 30 in Lancaster, take 222 North--the exit sign says "Reading." Take the Route 272 exit, which has Brownstown/Rothsv
ille and Akron/Lititz on the signs. Go right at the light at the end of the ramp. Go under one light, get in the righthand lane; at the next light, turn right onto Route 272. Go through the light at Main Street in Akron. You'll go down a hill and see Kmart and Wendy's on the left. At that light, there will be a "V" and you'll scoot to the right in order to get on South State Street. Go through the light at Fulton Street. Go through the light at Main Street. Go through the light at Locust Street. You'll see the old Donecker's store, a light blue building, on the right. There is also well-marked pedestrian crossing here. On the left you'll see a brick house, then a tan house, then my white house. Slow down and turn left into the little lane that runs between the tan and white houses (across from New Street on the right-hand side). It's hard to see the lane until you're right there by it. Park anywhere in back (there's a parking lot where my yard should be), and come in the side door at the back of my house. If you come to the 4-way stop at Pine Street, you went too far.
