(Out of state customer. Michigan if memory serves) “
“does it rain here everyday?”
No, mostly just right before Unbound Gravel
We laugh about it, but it’s tradition and that’s why this is the premier gravel race. Never easy, but always worth it. Best of luck to all riders!
Such a busy month for the service industry in E-Town. Our community is home to so many events. Emporia Main Street Visit Emporia Emporia Area Chamber & Visit Emporia always got something brewing. Champions Landing about to bring folks in droves. This is a busy month. We’ve all been slammed all Week, for weeks!!! 😆 As for my staff, each and all have shown up and shown out. 10 WEST grill + dive bar 🙏🏻 thank you
Waitresses Bartenders chefs, we are on the front lines, but all of us who call Emporia home are blessed with the opportunity to be Ambassador’s.
Imagine someone trains, saves and chases their dream all the way across the country (likely in a van full of gear) Or took several flights dragging a bike and a precise weight of luggage through customs.
I get the frustrations with increased traffic, reckless riders, and parking and whatnot. As a downtown business, we’re certainly affected. But while we’ll miss our regulars , we’re excited about the chance to meet new friends and share all the things we love about Emporia, Kansas - City Government
What a unique opportunity and a privilege to turn on the old Midwest charm.
Dare I say a responsibility to show our guests that what it means to be an “American” is so much more and so much better than our international news coverage lets on.
I love the town. I’ve always tried to be of service, and as a rule, I don’t ask for much. But, please, as a favor to me, consider each interaction with guests to be an opportunity to build a connection.
Be kind, be patient, be gracious.
Someone is flying back to their town and telling everyone what Americans/Emporians are made of.
