In the tradition of Old Ellicott City, you will find yourself in a warm and welcoming neighborhood atmosphere. But why is it called Ghost Lounge?...
Well don’t get scared, but our building is haunted. The building is from the 1800’s and was constructed by Ann Tounge to house the mill workers. So maybe on a late night you might catch a glimpse of someone in the smoke. But don’t worry; I hear the ghosts are really nice. We strive for a quality experience rather than quantity. To that extent, we offer natural charcoal, the sh**ha is Al Fakir, and the hoses are high-end and devoted to specific flavors. We believe that the trick to meeting and hopefully exceeding your expectations is by offering options so that you can personalize your experience for whatever mood you find yourself in. We offer a wide selection of flavors and natural charcoal as opposed to the quick-light variety. Enjoy a wide range of loose tea selections, or drink a real Coca-Cola Classic with real sugar from a real glass bottle, or quench your thirst with one of our many other beverages. Bring your laptop or borrow an iPad from us to play games or stream videos. Free Wi-Fi is provided. Our Bose sound system will allow you to appreciate the subtle nuances of our melodies during the day or the power and range that we provide for our late-night crowd. In addition to all these choices, we offer four differently themed areas to lounge.
1. Enjoy our outdoor patio where you can watch the hustle and bustle of Old Ellicott City or immerse yourself in the natural setting that the patio is dug into. The tranquility of the stream below is quite relaxing.
2. The first floor provides a cafe’ feel with tables to sit down at and relax with a paper or hone in on your laptop and get your work done, while our servers wait on you.
3. The second floor provides a more social setting. Walk in across the street from Diamondback Grille and find yourself in a rich red room wrapped in leather seating. Relax with friends or browse your iPad or borrow one from us.
4. UNDER CONSTRUCTION: The third floor is a traditional setting with some modern twists. We have classic floor cushion seating on top of a soft rug. It is the perfect setting for lounging, as you watch the flat screen TV or play the PS3. The TV also has Apple TV so you can push from the iPads. Or you can just marvel at our Red Dragon mural, remnants of the old tattoo parlor.
