⭐ Position Title: Bar Manager
Reports To: Trustees
Status: Part‑Time | Hourly + Tips (when bartending)
🦅 What You’ll Do
As our Bar Manager, you’ll oversee all things beverage-related — from crafting smooth operations to ensuring exceptional guest experiences. You’ll guide the bartending team, keep inventory sharp, maintain compliance, and collaborate with the Trustees to keep the bar thriving.
🍸 Key Responsibilities
✨ Leadership & Team Management
Create schedules for bartenders and barbacks that balance coverage with labor goals
Train, coach, and mentor staff on drinks, service standards, safety, and bar cleanliness
Lead engaging pre‑shift meetings (specials! features! 86s!)
Support a positive, professional team culture
Ensure compliance with all liquor laws and ID‑checking procedures
Keep staff certifications current
📝 Administration
Approve timecards and handle small scheduling adjustments
Track bar sales, product performance, and guest trends
Maintain the 86’d list and communicate updates to the team
🍻 Required Skills & Qualifications
Previous bar leadership or management experience
Strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wine, and beer
Great communication and conflict‑resolution skills
Ability to lift 40+ lbs and stand for extended periods
Excellent organization and attention to detail
Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
🌟 Preferred Extras
Mixology or cocktail‑creation experience
Familiarity with POS systems
Experience with inventory or cost‑control tools
