FLAG DAY CEREMONY 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

Comrades, Auxiliary members, and guests, today we gathered to honor the Flag of the United States of America and to commemorate Flag Day.

On June 14, 1777, the Continental Congress adopted the Stars and Stripes as the official flag of our nation. Since that day, our flag has represented the ideals of freedom, unity, sacrifice, and the enduring spirit of the American people.

Our flag has flown over battlefields, schools, homes, places of worship, government buildings, and communities across our nation. It has accompanied our service members into harm’s way and welcomed them home. It stands as a symbol of the freedoms we enjoy and the sacrifices made to preserve them.

The American flag is more than cloth and thread. It is a symbol of our nation’s history, our values, and the generations of Americans who have defended liberty at home and abroad.

Today we honor all veterans, active-duty service members, first responders, and patriotic citizens who have served under its colors.

May we always remember that freedom is not free and that each generation bears the responsibility of preserving the blessings of liberty for those who follow.”

On your own observe a moment of silence in honor of all who have served our nation and those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

May God continue to bless our veterans, our Armed Forces, our communities, and the United States of America.

🇺🇸 VFW POST 1389 RECEIVES ALL NEW MEXICO STATE VFW HONORS 🇺🇸

Today, we are proud to announce that VFW Post 1389 has been recognized with all New Mexico State VFW honors.

This achievement reflects the dedication, hard work, and commitment of our entire Post family. It belongs to every member, Auxiliary member, volunteer, officer, and supporter who has contributed their time, talents, and efforts throughout the year.

These honors are a testament to what can be accomplished when veterans continue to serve their fellow veterans, military families, and our community.

Thank you to everyone who participated in our programs, community service projects, youth activities, veteran outreach efforts, membership initiatives, and special events. Your commitment made this possible.

Our mission continues. We remain committed to serving veterans, supporting our military families, promoting patriotism, and strengthening our community.

🇺🇸 MOTIVATION WEDNESDAY 🇺🇸

It is easy to stay motivated when things are going well.
The true test of character comes when things are difficult. When plans change. When obstacles appear. When progress seems slow.

When nobody is watching. That is when discipline matters. That is when commitment matters.
That is when character is revealed.

Every veteran understands that missions are not accomplished because conditions are perfect.

They are accomplished because people continue moving forward despite imperfect conditions.

You do not have to solve every problem today.

You do not have to climb the entire mountain today.

You only need to take the next step. A little progress is still progress. A little improvement is still improvement.

Keep moving, learning serving, believing.

Someone is watching your example, even if you do not realize it. Lead well encourage others.

Albuquerque Fisher House , always working so hard to support our Veterans 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

We are thrilled to announce that we have reached an incredible milestone of 1 Million Dollars saved for our beloved Fisher House! This achievement highlights the generosity and support of our community, allowing us to continue providing a safe and comfortable “home away from home” for the families and caregivers of our Veterans.

At our Fisher House, families can stay completely free of charge while their loved ones receive essential medical care at the VA medical center. This program is vital in providing support during challenging times, ensuring that our heroes are never alone in their journey to recovery.

Thank you to everyone who has contributed to this amazing cause! Together, we are making a difference in the lives of our veterans and their families. 💖

To update your cap size:
✅ Log in to vfw.org
✅ Select "Online Membership System (OMS)" under Membership Quick Links
✅ Under Personal Services, click "Cap Size"
✅ Select your cap size and style, then click Submit

This information is needed to order All-State and All-American caps.

Please remember that reaching 101% membership does not automatically qualify a Post for All-State or All-American recognition. Be sure to review your Department Membership Program and the National Membership Program for complete qualification requirements.
