All week we are serving this Firehouse Chicken Flatbread. It has grilled chicken, bacon, jalapeños, cheese, all on a spicy garlic sauce. Today's lunch specials are a Reuben and a Chicken Ceaser Croissant. The soup is Taco soup and we have Chili.

These ladies are our Elbow Lake Bunco Babes. Every week they come to the KP at Thursday nights to eat and play bunco or cards. Once a month they all take turns hosting eachother at their homes. Twice a year they put on a bunco tournament, with one coming up in October, of course taking place here, at the Knotty Pine. A couple times a year or so, they take a group trip to various parts of the state - they spent this last weekend in Park Rapids.

These ladies are Knotty Pine royalty, and not just because I am married to the blonde in the pink sweatshirt. They are our Queens. They are the First Ladies of the Knotty Pine.

You better believe they aren't afraid to voice their opinions. They literally have a table with their faces on it. If something needs to be improved, I hear about it at work or I can always count on a text from one or several of them. They make the place better, and I appreciate that.

They are more than guests. To me, they are moms and sisters. Donna - far left, and Sandy - middle - are the ones who decorate the dining room for every season or holiday. The other day Sandy (middle) asked me for a nail, so she could hang a halloween decoration.

With a big smile on my face I said, "Sandy, I don't want to give you a nail. I want to give you a screw." Within about .12 seconds (at 80 plus!) Sandy said, "Buddy, if I gave you a screw you'd be dead and you'd die with a smile on your face."

Those are our bunco ladies. I don't want to be in that building without them. They are valued beyond belief.

Tonight the Knotty Pine was fortunate to be involved in not one but two special celebrations. I am fairly sure of all the weddings we catered this year, Lauren and Dalton was the first couple we talked to about their wedding which took place today. It's always great to cater at Long Lake Lodge in Brandon. We sent another crew right up the road in Millerville, to cater another wedding celebration. Congrats to Anna and Jordan! It's been a pleasure working with both families to make today a success.

I am so proud of our team. Not only did they handle a busy day at the Knotty Pine, they fed an extra couple hundred people offsite, at two different events. I would say that is a pretty impressive accomplishment, and their hard work and determination continues to blow me away.
