So the w**e tasting hit of the night was…. Orvieto Classico, from the beautiful hilltop town of Orvieto in Umbria, Italy.
With roots dating back to the Etruscans, Orvieto has been part of Italian w**e history for centuries. Today, this refreshing Italian white is known for its bright acidity, citrus and stone-fruit character, subtle minerality, and beautiful texture.
At its heart is Grechetto, the grape that gives Orvieto its body and distinctive character, traditionally blended with grapes such as Procanico, Trebbiano, Verdello, Drupeggio and Malvasia.
