Meet Marina! Our third panelist for this Friday’s event 🎉💃🏻
Marina Garbalena, originally from Ciudad Juárez Chihuahua, began her training at the Academia Municipal de Artes in Cd Juárez. She continued her studies in Centro Municipal de Las Artes where she received her Associates degree in Dance.

Ms. Garbalena has participated with Pushing Progress Contemporary Dance in NY, The UTEP Department of Theater and Dance, and Eva Maria Dance.

She received her BFA in Dance Performance from The University of Texas at El Paso and has since been working for Kids Excel El Paso, a local Non-profit Arts Education Organization where she serves as Teaching Artist, and Special Projects Coordinator.

Meet Jazmin Harvey! 🎉💃🏻 Our second panelist for Curating our Border event on the the 27th. Jazmin studied film at the Creative Media Institute at NMSU and graduated with her BFA in 2015. Overland was shot for her senior thesis project in 2015, and is her first film. Since graduating, Jazmin moved to LA and worked as a camera assistant. In addition, she was a videographer and editor for the American Civil Liberties Union of Southern California. Currently, she is in Albuquerque, NM working as a freelance cinematographer.
