Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled MIG & TIG Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience performing precision welding on a variety of metals including stainless steel, aluminum, and carbon steel. This role requires the ability to read blueprints, set up welding equipment, and produce high-quality welds that meet industry and company standards.
Core Responsibilities
Welding Operations
Perform MIG (GMAW) and TIG (GTAW) welding on various materials including stainless steel, aluminum, carbon steel, and other alloys.
Produce clean, high-quality welds while maintaining accuracy and precision.
Ensure welds meet structural and cosmetic quality standards.
Equipment Setup & Maintenance
Set up welding machines and select appropriate electrodes, filler metals, and shielding gases.
Adjust machine settings such as voltage, amperage, and gas flow.
Perform routine maintenance and inspection of welding equipment.
Blueprint & Technical Interpretation
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols.
Follow fabrication specifications to ensure parts meet design requirements.
Fabrication & Assembly
Position, align, and secure components using fixtures, clamps, and jigs.
Fit and assemble metal parts prior to welding.
Quality Control
Inspect welds and finished components for defects, accuracy, and compliance with standards.
Ensure work meets AWS (American Welding Society) or company quality guidelines.
Safety Compliance
Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Follow all workplace safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Required Skills & Qualifications
Proven experience with MIG and TIG welding processes.
Strong understanding of GMAW and GTAW welding techniques.
Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and welding symbols.
High level of precision, attention to detail, and manual dexterity.
Strong knowledge of metal properties and welding techniques.
Preferred Qualifications
AWS Welding Certification or similar industry certification.
Experience working with thin gauge materials or precision welding applications.
Experience in fabrication or manufacturing environments.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand for extended periods.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Perform repetitive tasks and work in a manufacturing environment.
