🚨🚨 Must Read 🚨🚨
I’m sad to announce that these will be the last two weekends open for Werk Bar & The Other Bar.
I want to thank everyone who supported my brother Charlie Ramirez and me for almost a decade — 9 amazing years. This was my brother’s biggest dream and accomplishment. I was just the person behind him, cheering him on every step of the way.
When he passed away in 2021, I was terrified to continue this journey without him. Yet here I am, five years later, grateful that I was able to keep it going. I felt him in my heart all these years, guiding me and pushing me forward, so I kept going for him no matter how hard or exhausting it became.
Now the time has come for me to leave El Paso the memories of Werk Bar & The Other Bar forever in our hearts.
I hope when you think about this place, you remember the drunk pole dances, the amazing bartenders, the champagne showers, the bouncers yelling at everyone to get out after 2 AM, the DJs playing your favorite reggaeton songs, Superman & Batman dancing on top of the bar, the bartender blowing fire, and the managers greeting you at the door. But most of all, I hope you think of my brother… if you knew him lol.
I hope we gave people a place where they celebrated birthdays, healed heartbreaks, met friends, danced, laughed, and escaped life for a little while.
This has been one of the most beautiful memories I have ever created with my brother and with all the amazing people I met along the way. I will always remember watching people dance and have fun while my brother and I stood behind the bar smiling at each other, knowing we built that.
But now it’s time for me to move on and spend more time with my family. I’m excited to start this new journey and chapter in life with my husband and kids. I’m happy to leave the bar with peace in my heart.
We killed the game for 9 years, and I’ll carry that accomplishment with me forever. ❤️ We became a staple in the bar industry, and at one point, we were truly one of the baddest spots in the city. Now we’ll become one of those places people talk about years later with memories and stories.
Thank you for allowing us to serve you all these years. Thank you to my brother, my family and friends, my husband, my team, all my regulars, and everyone who stood by us through it all.
And above all, thank you God for blessing us with this journey.
We love you all. ❤️
Sunday, May 24th will be our final day open.
Please stop by these next two weekends one last time.
I’ll see everyone around. ❤️
