Well guys, it looks like we won’t be renewing our lease after this year. There have been many ups and downs over the last seven seasons, too many to recount. The positives definitely outweigh the negatives and I would never trade the years back. My appreciation towards the community for being open enough to allow us to cook you anything we could come up with cannot be overstated. My appreciation for everyone who has helped out, stepped up, gone above and beyond, worked insane hours-rare form or not, given advice, endured me for any length of time, sat through the winter playing cards, stayed late after service playing cards, ever been brave enough to sit down with us and play cards, pulled all nighters, hell… for anyone that has been there for us throughout the years in general, can also not be overstated. This place would’ve never existed without the combined efforts of what amounts to the best service industry workers this area has, you all know who you are. It also wouldn’t exist without every single persons contributions while working here both large and small. You all directly contributed to what this restaurant became. We’ve pulled off some miracles a time or ten. If anything, I’m more grateful to have been part of a space for so long that could allow someone to showcase their skills whether in the front or the back without being tied down by typical standards. I have seen amazing growth in people over the years and love that I could be a part of it. We had some fun you guys. Probably a bit too much, but it was worth all of the experiences regardless.
I was hoping to stay open for just a bit longer but with the weather cooling we tend to slow down drastically and I have to call it at some point. I believe that time is now. But, not without us doing one more weekend! We will be open this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday for one last time so if ever there was a moment to come out and eat whether you’ve been here before or not, this weekend is it!
Afterwards, We will be moving on to other projects. We aren’t done in the food business by any means, its simply our time to move on. That being said, I know the landlords of the property will be looking to rent the building after the first of the year when our lease expires and I will not be taking everything with me equipment wise. If anyone is looking to start a place, this will be about as turn key as it gets. This place didn’t really fit as a restaurant when we first got here, but its definitely one now. I will listen to offers if anyone wants to take the restaurant over and try their own thing with everything intact and if we can’t come to an agreement with anyone I will start piecing out all the equipment etc..
Theres so much to unpack memory wise I can’t possibly fit it all here. The best I can offer is a chance this weekend to come eat and hang out with us one last time.
Open this weekend Fri 4-10 Sat 4-10 Sun 4-8
Thanks for believing, we’ll see you out here!
