Recess Brewing is a Community Supported Brewery that is happy to call Edwardsville, Illinois home. Provide delicious, locally crafted beer and educate the masses about how the magic happens. Our location on Main Street houses a 1500 square foot brewery and a 1100 square foot taproom which is open to everyone. This is the one and only place to fill up your growler or enjoy a pint of Recess beer. Yo

u can order in or bring your own food (we have menus from local restaurants on site). Free coffee, soda and popcorn available courtesy of the Wildey Theatre.

There has been a lot of talk about what is happening down here at 307 N. Main Street. We have some big things to fill everyone in on, first and foremost we want to thank our community and staff for the patience during this time of change, we couldn’t have done any of the amazing things we have accomplished in the last two years without you all.

Our brew master Tracy Hutton is expanding on his incredible talents and is opening his very own brewery just a jump away in Staunton, IL. Please join us in supporting him and his future by giving him a follow and showing out for his grand opening on April 22nd!

Rather than attempt to fill the giant boots he leaves behind, we have decided to hand over the reins to Tyler and Casey who should be familiar faces, the owners of Sneaky’s Burgers. Sneaky’s has already added so much to our culture at 307 N. Main since they joined us last Spring, we would be challenged to find another pair of hard working gentleman who care as much about the community of Edwardsville and we definitely can’t find a better burger around!

Recess Brewing will close it’s doors officially on Sunday, April 30th. Please visit us before then, say hi to your favorite people and enjoy a crisp Recess brew. We hope to see you all as friends in the future, enjoying a delicious burger in a familiar space. Sneaky’s Burgers will open on May 2, 2023!

All of our friends had such a good time kid-ing around yesterday at goat yoga, there were lots of laughs, and a few other noises too! Today we are observing Easter and we are closed! See you on Tuesday!

Had the best time meeting with Master Distiller Alex Castle this afternoon and tasted some delicious new product. Our partnership with Old Dominic means a lot to us, not only do they make incredible spirits but the mastermind behind the product is just as incredible herself. We love supporting companies with missions and values similar to our own especially when the value being placed is on the incredibly talented females behind the scenes! It’s always bustling down at the taproom with our two legged friends and our four legged ones… did you know? We’re dog friendly! Come kick it with Tracy our head brewer, making a guest appearance behind the bar today, grab a brew, bring your pup (on a leash of course), and come enjoy the absolutely beautiful weather we are going to have today! Tracy will be serving up ice cold beers and cocktails on this sunny Sunday from 12pm to 6pm!
