This is one of the hardest posts we’ve ever had to write…
After an incredible year, Mossy Stone will be closing after this Sunday. 💔
What a journey it’s been — full of laughter, long days, lessons learned, and so many amazing memories made with all of you. From lunches on the patio to live music nights and happy hours that turned into hugs and new friendships — you made this place so much more than a restaurant. You made it a family.
To our amazing staff — you are the heart and soul of Mossy Stone. Your dedication, teamwork, and love for what we built together showed in every plate, every drink, and every smile. We’ll never be able to thank you enough. 💚
The truth is, between rising costs — Ameren, food and beverage, and constant equipment repairs — it’s become too much to keep up with. Our Ameren bill alone more than tripled in just one month, and combined with the challenges of our location and limited parking, it made it impossible to stay sustainable long term.
We’ve been searching for a buyer who could keep Mossy Stone going, but unfortunately, it just hasn’t worked out. As heartbreaking as it is to say goodbye, we know there’s another plan ahead. We’re choosing to focus on the good — the friendships, the laughter, and the memories that will last far beyond these walls.
We’ll reopen today at 3pm and remain open through Sunday — our final day. As we run our menu down this week, some items may be limited or unavailable as we sell through what we have. We truly appreciate your understanding and patience as we finish out this last weekend together.
We’ll also be selling everything — furniture, décor, glassware, and more — and we’d love to see these little pieces of Mossy Stone find new homes in the community that supported us so fiercely.
From the bottom of our hearts — thank you for showing up, for believing in us, and for making Mossy Stone what it was. This isn’t goodbye forever… just a new beginning in a different direction. 💚
