Today was a day of remembrance. We remember all our brothers and sisters in arms who had paid the ultimate sacrifice on service to our Nation.
It was encouraging to see all the members of the community to come out and show support today at the Memorial Day Parade as well as events around the community.

For as long as we remember the ones who are no longer with us, they will never be forgotten .

Memorial day is a day to remember the service members who are no longer with us. ✝️🇺🇲
There will be remembrance and other activities this weekend across the area, including the Memorial Day parade on Monday downtown Eau Claire.

In honor of Memorial Day, the Eau Claire Patriotic Council partnered with local American Legion and VFW members to honor fallen veterans in Eau Claire cemeteries.

🏁 100% ACHIEVED… NOW FINISH THE RACE TO 101%!

State Commander Ty Letto is charging forward, but this race isn’t over yet.

The Wisconsin VFW has officially reached 100% membership, and that is no small accomplishment. It is a testament to the hard work, dedication, and commitment of every Post, every District, and every Comrade and Auxiliary member across this great state.

But as strong as that milestone is…we didn’t come this far to stop now.

The finish line is in sight.
101% is within reach.

Now is the time to dig in, push forward, and finish what we started.

➡️ Recruit ONE – Bring in a new voice to strengthen our ranks
➡️ Retain ONE – Keep a Comrade engaged and committed
➡️ Reach 101% – Cross that finish line together to become the 800 lbs. Gorilla

Honored to attend the Chippewa Valley High School to Heroes Banquet and represent VFW Post 7232. It was an incredible evening recognizing local high school seniors who have committed to serve our nation in the Armed Forces.

What stood out most was how refreshing it felt to be reminded of genuine patriotism. In a time when so much attention is placed on what divides us, this event was a powerful reminder of what still unites us: service, sacrifice, gratitude, and love of country.

It was also a great opportunity for the next generation of recruits to connect with a few crusty old vets, share some laughs, and bridge the gap between those who served before and those preparing to serve now.

Seeing the next generation step forward to serve carries even more meaning as America approaches its 250th birthday. Our nation’s story has always been shaped by those willing to answer the call, and it is encouraging to know that spirit is still strong.

Thank you to everyone who organized and supported this special evening. Proud to stand with those who have served, and inspired by those preparing to serve.

The Veterans of Foreign Wars Dept of Washington and their State Commander Drew James has officially thrown down the gauntlet and challenged the Department of Wisconsin and State Commander Ty Letto to a Membership Throwdown to see who can hit 101% FIRST!

Washington: 98.98%
Wisconsin: 98.67%

They may be slightly ahead… but they clearly forgot one thing:

This is Wisconsin!
We don’t back down from a challenge.
We lead from the front.

This is more than a race, it’s a reminder that every member strengthens our voice in Washington, D.C. When we advocate for veterans, strong membership makes us the 800-pound gorilla in the room.
