Port Authority has an ATM right across the street from us!!
This is a true struggle.
In Maine, businesses are not allowed to tack on the surcharges of credit cards.
So remember everytime you swipe, we are charged 4-8% in credit card FEES
INCLUDING your tip.
So you tip $50 and the business gets hit with a % fee.
It's really ridiculous that credit card companies are allowed to do this!
Please try to carry cash and try to tip in cash. It's appreciated on both ends.

Customers are absolutely fed up with seeing card surcharges on everything from coffees to haircuts ☕💇‍♂️. But here is the flip side—small businesses don’t keep a single cent of that surcharge! It all goes straight to the greedy banks and payment processors 🏦💸. If small businesses absorb the cost, they lose money; if they pass it on, they lose customers 📉💔. Is the public anger aimed at the wrong people? Who is to blame here—the shops or the banks? 🤷‍♂️🏦👇
