We’ve got news! The Balsam Inn has been sold! Tony and I want to thank everyone that has supported us over the last 18 years that we’ve owned the Balsam Inn. We have shared a lot of great times. Made a lot of great friends.
Tony will be retiring in a couple years and we are looking forward to spending more time with family and friends. It’s time for new adventures!
The new owners will not be opening the bar they have plans to live there and make it their home. We wish them much happiness.

UPDATE: On March 5, 2021 New York State Police at Norwich arrested Martin H Lewicki, age 58 of Norwich, NY for the felonies of Burglary in the third degree and Criminal Mischief in the third degree.

Can you identify this man? Troopers were dispatched to a report of a break-in at the Balsam Inn in the town of Pharsalia. The incident occurred on November 26, 2020 at approximately 2:19 p.m. Surveillance video captured the male subject who is a heavier set, older white male wearing a grey long sleeve shirt, a hat and jeans. He took neon signs, bar lights, a bar table and bar stools. He's also caught on camera destroying several items, including ripping a camera off the wall. Authorities are actively searching for a man accused of breaking into the Balsam Inn in the town of Pharsalia, N.Y. back in November.

If anyone recognizes this man please contact us or The NYS Police in Norwich. He broke into The Balsam Inn on Thanksgiving Day and stole several items. We have a partial print but due to the amount of crime in the area, all of the evidence collected is sitting in the Police Lab and has yet to be processed. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
