Book Swap at Fox Market! Saturday, October 3rd, all day long!

It’s a new concept for us, but one I’ve had ruminating in my head all summer. I consume books as much as I can, but my free time is limited, and I’m always disappointed to start a book that is that I don’t enjoy or can't find something to learn from. Luckily, my life is full of folks who give me the best recommendations! And reading what someone else loves about a book, or talking about what I enjoy so much about a book, is such a pleasure.

So for this book swap, the idea is to include a note- either in the book or wrapped around the book or somehow included with the book- with some sort of recommendations. Either why you loved it or what its about or why it sparked your curiosity or brought you joy or made you cry or turned you on or anything!

Drop off books anytime throughout the week, and we will lay them all out on Saturday morning. Then come by on Saturday all day to pick up a new book (or two or three!)

Despite all vocalizing we did about how we weren't doing dance parties anymore- we're doing another dance party!

Join us Saturday, October 31st from 8pm-1am. 21+.

We'll also be doing a costume contest (very informally, but if you have our favorite contest, you'll win prize!)

September W**e Club

As the season shifts, we move forward and cling to the past all at once. Early mornings and the moments after sunset require sweaters and layers, while the midday sun beats down and keeps us reminiscing about our summertime memories. We are pulled in two directions, harvesting abundance from our gardens and planning for its closing moments. Our w**e picks for this month reflect the duality- moving towards reds for the cooler nights, and still clinging to the whites we’ve enjoyed all summer long.

Cuties, we're taking a break! We're gonna close the shop from 9/1-9/5 to do some end of summer renovations (and a brief trip to Montreal). Sorry for the inconvenience, and thank you for giving us the break. We'll have this place roofed and painted and maybe tidied a bit when you come back.

Hey cuties, we're outta here! We're racing to the Maine coast to have a belated birthday celebration with Liv's family tonight, so we're going to be closing at 4pm today (August 8th). Come say bye to us before then! See you next week!

August W**e Club

The sunshine continues, but there is a touch of chill in the evening. This month, signaling the end of something, calls us to cling to our favorite summer moments- swimming, basking, adventuring outdoors, tending our gardens, grilling with family and friends, and being out of doors as much as our lives will allow. Our two w**es this month are delicious, quenching whites, made for the remaining heat of summer, and all that comes with it.

FRIDAY NIGHT KARAOKE! July 24th, 8pm-as late as you all want to sing for! Join Seany and Doni (and Liv bartending with new housemade cocktail specials) for a night of tunes. It's the chillest, sweetest house party version of karaoke, and a nice place for newcomers to try it out. Open to all. Free family dinner available.

July W**e Clubs

This month, we chose two w**es from Libertine W**es, who we have adored for years. There are truly incredible West Coast domestic w**emakers, creating things that are fun, lovely, clean, thoughtful, limited intervention, and we love highlighting these folks who are truly doing things right, the way Libertine does. It doesn’t hurt that both of these Libertine w**es are crushable and refreshing, perfect for the long, hot days of July.

The Foxes are going on vacay! We'll be closing early on Saturday, June 20th (4pm) and closed from June 21st-June 27th. We'll be opened back up for our normal hours Tuesday, June 30th.

June W**e Club

The loveliness of summer is settling in at last, with 70 degrees and sunshine, gardens growing up, and the technicolor dream of Vermont greenery. There is nothing like it. We’re diving into bubbles and w**es that bring on the party energy, to pour heavy into glasses with friends in the yard, sipping while we pick the first of the fresh herbs for our garden salads and to pair with charred meats and veggies hot off the grill.
