As I work on cue orders I am usually working on cues that I can offer up for sale. I just finished this bright blue, green and brown break cue. The vibrant colors are stunning and it came together nicely. The weight is 19.6oz. but there’s room to take it up to 21oz. I used a 3/8-10 modified pin with a phenolic insert (I make my own). With a 13mm Hard Candy tip on a solid G10 ferrule. $625 with insured shipping CONUS.

I recently finished and delivered one of my Percheron 4 axis CNC cue making machines to Shon Hardin of Spankey’s cues. It turned out really nice and I think he is very pleased with it. My machine has a work area of 39” on the X axis, 13.5” on the Y axis and 6.5” on the Z axis. The stepper motors are 570 oz. Nema 23’s. The controller is a Gecko G540 built by Automation Technologies inc. The lathe bed, head stock and tail stock are from Cue Maker (formerly Mid-America lathes). I do a modified 4th axis so the machine can spin on a variable speed 3/4hp motor or with the indexable with the stepper motor. The spindle motor is a 110volt 2.2Kw and can take up to a 1/2” shank with a max speed of 25000 rpm. If you are serious about getting a CNC machine for cue making reach out to me [email protected]

I recently finished a cue for a customer. Joe was great to work with and when he came to me for this build. We started with bocote for the handle. He told me he was from Hawaii originally and so I said I had some nice pieces of curly koa. He was wondering if I thought I could design something that would look like shark teeth in the design and I said I had a better idea.

I sent out a cue to a customer recently and thought I would share some pictures. It’s a 30”-30” full splice build of zebra wood and a dark roasted bird’s eye maple. Brown phenolic collars and butt cap with a kielwood shaft. Some added ebony diamonds with smaller abalone diamonds in between. It turned out great with a nice balance and subtle beauty. Hi welcome to my page. If you are here looking for a break cue, jump cue or a custom shooting cue I am available to chat with you. I make one of the best break and jump cues on the market. I also specialize in one of a kind shooting cues.

Here’s how I do my pricing on break and jump cues
Break cue 58” or 60” $575. 3 piece jump cues 8”+12”+29” are $475. 2 piece jump cues 12”+29” are $375.
4 piece break jump sets ( break handle, shaft 2 piece jump handle)$800. 3 piece break cue set, (break handle, shaft, 12” jump handle) $725.
Break/jump combinations with a split in the handle at 11.5” from the joint is $675. Shipping is usually about $25. Extra shaft $125. Joint protectors are $75 a set (2pcs)or $100 for 3 pieces. I also make a solid wood core carbon fiber shafts for shooting and break cues for $425. Break cues with a CF shaft are $800.

Basic Merry Widow starts at $850.00
I make these cues with a AAA grade maple shaft, your choice of ferrule material (no ivory) and tip, joint pin, and a single aluminum, brass or copper ring in 5 places, butt, behind wrap, in front of wrap, butt joint and shaft joint. Collars and rings are made of rolled black linen unless you choose something different, Irish linen wrap and your choice of exotic wood for forearm and butt sections (there may be some additional costs for very specific choices based on the current price and availability). I try to keep a good supply of burl woods on hand to choose from. So you can pick pieces out that you are wanting.

So that is what you get for $850. If you want to add or change things here is my price list for all that stuff.

$25-$75 Each additional special rings according to complexity
$25 for pocket and inlay of simple geometry, diamonds, extra for exotic materials (according to what they will cost)
$50 for unique inlay designs such as a skull or special design
$275 for 4 veneered points
$125 for leather wraps ( I won’t do real elephant ear)
$175 for stacked leather wrap
Additional shafts
$275 kielwood shaft
$275 radial pie low deflection laminated maple shaft
$275 AAA grade maple shaft
$375 Carbon Fiber shaft with solid wood core
Some pricing might vary according to materials used
