Christmas in Downtown Ellijay is just over two months away! 🎄✨

The 2026 Merry Mountain Town Festival & Parade returns Friday, November 27th, with festive vendors, seasonal treats, photos with Santa, Downtown’s holiday decorating competition, and plenty of Christmas cheer.

🎄 Festival: 10 AM–7 PM
🎅🏼 Santa Session: $10 donation benefiting Friends of Gilmer Animal Shelter
✨ Parade & Christmas Tree Lighting: 6 PM

And just like that, another Georgia Apple Festival has come to a close! 🍎🍂✨

What an incredible two weekends celebrating 55 years of one of Ellijay's favorite fall traditions! From handcrafted treasures and delicious apple treats to live music and memories made with family and friends, this year's festival was one to remember.

A huge thank you to everyone who visited, our wonderful vendors, volunteers, organizers, and everyone who helped make the 55th Annual Georgia Apple Festival so special. We couldn't do it without you!

See you in 2027 for the 56th Annual Georgia Apple Festival! Until then, there's still plenty to love about fall in Georgia's Apple Capital! 🍎🌄✨

Before you go apple picking, on your way back from a fall hike, or when you need something sweet to take back to your Ellijay cabin, stop by one of Ellijay’s local bakeries for a treat that makes your fall day even sweeter. Ellijay, GA, has the perfect fall date planned for you!🍎🍂✨

Change up your usual date night with an apple-picking adventure at one of Ellijay’s orchards, filled with fresh apples, fall views, farm fun, and plenty of sweet treats along the way.

🍎 Hop on a tractor ride to the orchard and spend the afternoon picking fresh Ellijay apples straight from the tree. Fill a basket with your favorites and wander through rows of apple trees with the North Georgia Mountains in the background.

🐄 After apple picking, the fun still continues with plenty more to do around the farm. Spend some time with the animals, feed a few along the way, visit the petting farm, and even try milking a cow.

🥧 Before heading home, make one last stop at the farm store for something sweet to share. Grab a warm fried apple pie, fresh c***r donut, or an apple c***r slushie for the perfect ending to your fall date.

Set against the rolling North Georgia Mountains, hop aboard a tractor and head into the orchard to pick Rome Beauties, Red Delicious, Granny Smith, and other seasonal favorites straight from the tree. 🍏

After apple picking, wander through colorful cosmos and zinnias to create your own fall bouquet, then pick out the perfect pumpkin for spooky season. 🌸

Hi everyone!

Given tomorrow’s weather forecast, we wanted to share an important update about the Georgia Apple Festival & Apple Arts Festival:

After closely monitoring the forecast and the latest information from the National Weather Service, the Georgia Apple Festival and Apple Arts Festival in Downtown Ellijay have been canceled for Saturday, October 10th.

Everyone’s safety is our top priority, and we truly appreciate your patience and understanding.

Both festivals are still scheduled for Sunday, October 11th! The Georgia Apple Festival will be open from 9 AM to 5 PM, and the Apple Arts Festival from 10 AM to 6:30 PM.
