A toast to the law that tried to keep us dry.

Wednesday, October 28 is Volstead Day. We’re marking the occasion with half-price pours of five of our single barrels: Stellum Rye, J. Carver Wheated, Ezra Brooks, Rebel Yell and Tattersall Rye.

Our name comes from the Volstead Act, the law that enforced Prohibition. Named for Andrew Volstead, a congressman from Granite Falls, Minnesota, it became law on October 28, 1919, over President Wilson’s veto.

Join us through the red door inside Burgers & Bottles.

This is Rum Two Ways. Privateer Single Barrel, pineapple rum, lime and amaro, made two ways: stirred into an Old Fashioned and shaken into a Daiquiri. A good way to get to know a rum.

This is Gaia.

Avocado oil mezcal, kiwi, honeydew, cilantro, lime. Those green dots are avocado oil, one drop at a time. Worth watching get made.

Our current Cocktail of the Moment: Mezcal Negroni.

We’ll be pouring this one until it’s time for something new. For now, settle in at the bar and let us make you one.
