We've said goodbye to a lot of icons as of late, but the loss of Dolly Parton and Tim Curry hit us especially hard.
When I think about our values and mission - authenticity being the root of creativity, community empowerment, leading with love - it's impossible to think of two people who embodied them better. It's because of their lighting the way that we feel these sentiments so deeply to be real and true. ❤️
In small tribute to their legacies, we've put out some limited time stencils honoring their memories, and a portion of glass etching sales will be donated to Dolly Parton's Imagination Library.

Cheers to two of the best that ever lived. 🍻

Today is the day! Crafts & Drafts is hosting for a midterm election presentation at 6:30pm (presentation starts at 7pm). Come learn all you need to know and get your questions answered! 🗳️
Your vote is your voice, and an empowered community is a strong community. 💪
Light refreshments will be served, and drinks will be available for purchase from the bar. We look forward to seeing you there!

Join us tomorrow, August 27th 6:30-8:30pm, for a presentation led by Common Cause North Carolina all about the upcoming midterms! We'll discuss what's being voted on, how people can get involved, and answer any questions. 🗳️ Mixing & mingling at 6:30, presentation at 7, and then a 30 minute Q&A session.
There will be some light snacks provided and beers for purchase from the bar. Cheers to community empowerment! 💪🍻

At the beginning of this year, I had this idea of a customer testimonial video about Crafts & Drafts and floated it to the talented Darien | Millennial Nostalgia & More . He loved the idea, too, but then there was one concern: would any of our regulars be willing to come in on a Saturday morning to film before opening? I emailed several of them expecting, like, 3 of them to show interest. To my surprise, every single one of them wanted to help. 🥹 We really do have the best customers around. They bragged about me and this business in the video, but it's people like them (and all of you) that make it possible. ❤️ I'm forever thankful and so full of love for this community. Cheers to you, Durham! 🍻
