Finally bit the bullet and ordered a two tap kegerator conversion kit. I have the kegs already...now to find a fridge. NO MORE BOTTLING!!!!!!!!!!!!(okay, well maybe just a little).

Experimenting with lagering this winter. Today I am racking an IPL(india pale lager) to a secondary over Willamette hops and brewing a full batch of marzen/Oktoberfest lager. I am tasting my first test batch of marzen, also. Pretty good but a little sweet/malty. I am replacing half the Vienna malt with pale malt to cut down the sweetness and achieve a better balance in the full batch I brewed today.

Now that I have my yeast lab up and running I am tinkering with some high gravity urecipes. Brewing a Longhammer inspired double IPA today. 8%abv, 37 bitterness units, and big hoppy flavor...yum!

Getting ready for summer brewing(and just consistently better beer overall). I have completed my temp controlled chest freezer/fermentation chamber. Now I can make my all time fav beer: schwarzbier (German black lager). Happy!

Tasting day! :) Watching the NCAA tourney and sipping on an Irish red and that IPA that i dry hopped. Both are great. The red is a little green because it has only been in the bottle a week but should age well.
