Augusta's Restaurant Modern American Augusta’s Restaurant was opened in 2010 by the Georgia Trail team. Embassy in Hong Kong, China.

Since then, Augusta’s has succeeded in providing golfers and patrons in the Gwinnett community a delicious bevy of country club classics. Ideally though, the restaurant has set its sights on becoming a widely renowned dining experience. Offering entrees from a ‘Build Your Own Burger’ menu, to a wide variety of modern American cuisine, Augusta’s is sure to satisfy any appetite. Seating a maximum of

37 people inside and 30 on the patio, it possesses all of the qualities for creating a wonderfully intimate environment. Meet the Executive Chef – Casey Knapp

Casey’s foundation commenced at the age of fifteen at a local upscale restaurant as a dishwasher. After holding nearly every position offered within the restaurant industry, he found his niche in cooking. During his Navy career, Casey was fortunate to dine in some of the most popular restaurants all over the world, and has cooked for foreign leaders within the U.S. This allowed him to develop a more cultivated palette, which would benefit his overall performance as a Chef. Since graduating from Johnson and Wales University in Charlotte, NC, he has been dedicated to his passion for cooking, and was able to turn it into a rewarding career as an Executive Chef. His future endeavors include “transforming Augusta’s Restaurant into an intimate, homey atmosphere which patrons from all around can enjoy, dine comfortably, and leave wanting to experience more.”

What happens when you cut a Krispy Kreme Donut horizontally in half - pan sear the flat side in a pan? These pan seared outer halves become the outside of an AMAZING MOUTH WATERING FIESTA IN YOUR MOUTH!

We remove one half of the donut bun and put a burger patty with melted cheese and bacon ... then we add another half of a pan seared donut half and then add another patty with melted cheddar and bacon... Then we top it off with yet another half of a donut bun. The picture does not show the lower buns...but they are there - shown with a side of our Sweet Potato Fries sprinkled with cinnamon.

One of our patrons stated "This may be the best thing I have ever put in my mouth".

This picture is of the one that I shared with others - I agree with the patron - OMG! The thing that shocked me was that this is almost all meat... the donuts get really thin but, still keep of their sweetness. If you substituted the sweet potato fries for soup ... this could be almost healthy! Just a thought!

Ingredients:
1 1/2 donuts
2 all beef patties
2 slices of cheddar cheese
4 strips bacon

We are experiencing some less than perfect summer weather... oh yeah, it's winter! We are open and have rolled out our new menu that includes some really good options such as the Chicken Pot Pie Bread Bowl, Open Face Roast Beef, Cheese and Chicken Quesidillas + Bread Bowls are back for the winter... plus many other items as well. Chef Rico saw a great recipe for Lava Rock Shrimp on the Food Netowrk this morning - The meal has a spicy BBQ base and topped off with peach salsa so guess what we are having as our special on Friday night. Lava rock Shrimp over rice and served with a side salad for $12.95 - I can't wait!!!
