Happy Heavenly Birthday to Doug Pluemer! Make time today to crank up the tunes and raise your glasses in his honor.

I asked my Dad years back what his favorite song was of all time and he told me Brandy (You’re a Fine Girl) by Looking Glass. This song sang to my Dad’s wild heart. He had a love for music and he sure could make his way around a dance floor. Until we meet again I will see you in every sunset. We love you!

Ben and I want to thank everyone for their support following the loss of our Dad. Your love and kindness means more than we can express.

We know he loved all his people, so we had koozies made in his honor and want to share the love. If you would like one, please stop down at the Marina to get yours (while they last) and have a beer for Doug Pluemer.

Thank you to everyone who came down to the Wharf to celebrate the life of Doug. It was amazing to meet so many people he knew and loved. He would be proud of the kickass party we threw in his honor. We said a prayer, gave a few toasts, enjoyed good food, danced to great music by Rock Steady, and lit the night with lanterns. Ben and I are forever grateful for everyone’s love and support.

The memories we have and that were shared of Doug will become his legacy and means he will never be far from us. The love we have will endure in all of our hearts. As he would say after every Wharf event, “I tip my hat to ya’s all”.

Join us as we celebrate the life of Douglas “Doug” Bernard Pluemer (January 12, 1958 - June 8, 2021) at the Wharf on Friday, June 11th from 5 pm to 10pm.

Dad always knew how to have a good time, so what better way to show him our love then to throw him a party! I know he will be with us in spirit.

We will have pizza and the bar will be open for drinks. Rock Steady (his favorite local band) will play music in his honor from 6pm to 10pm.

Ben and I will say a few words and send Dad off with a toast. We would love for family and friends to share a story/memory of our Dad. We will have notecards available and will put them into a book for us and his granddaughters. All stories welcome. We will make sure they know he had a wild soul and amazing grace.

Once the sunsets, we will release lanterns in his honor.

Thank you all for your love. As Dad would tell Ben and me before we would part ways or hang up the phone, “love you for infinity and beyond.”
