HOT BUTTERED RUM RECIPE

Ingredients:
3 cups brown sugar
3 cinnamon sticks
3 whole allspice
2–3 cloves
6–8 cups water
8 tbsp unsalted Kerrygold butter
Island Getaway White Rum
Rum Whip (see below)

Instructions:
Simmer the first 6 ingredients in a pot or crockpot until sugar is melted and spices infuse (25–30 minutes).
Add 1.5 oz Island Getaway White Rum to a mug.
Top with the hot mixture and add a dollop of rum whip.

Rum Whip:
Add 1 oz Island Getaway White Rum to whipped cream and beat for 10 seconds. Add powdered sugar if desired.

Big news, friends… Island Getaway Rum has a new home in Dallas, and we’re making it even more magical. 🌴✨

I’m beyond excited to share that we’re teaming up with my dear friends Jen & Marty Reyes of Swizzle to create something truly special: The Swizzle Lounge — a hidden, members-only tiki oasis tucked inside the Island Getaway Rum Distillery, just behind Far-Out in The Outlands.

Think: tropical cocktails, award-winning rum, intimate vibes, and a little escape right here in the city. 🌺🍹 Whether it’s for our Rum Club members, private events, or Swizzle’s legendary pop-ups, every pour will be a craft experience worth savoring.

This is the dream — bringing the island energy home to Dallas, surrounded by incredible people and creativity.

Our first party? National Rum Day, August 16th from 4–9 PM. Mark your calendars and come raise a glass with us.
