To all of the customers who have been coming in, supporting us, knowing that we’re closing…. Thank you.

For me, it’s always been about you all. I’ve appreciated getting to know you. Customers became friends.

I’ll forever, forever value the friendships that were made.

I hope I helped you change, elevate your wine experience and knowledge, that’s always been my mission. We did it fun, easy, not pretentious.

My favorite customer was always the young person who didn’t know sh*t about wine but wanted to. Going from sweet Moscato, through to a Sauvignon Blanc in the span of an hour…. and loving it, you were always, always my favorite.

Cedar Valley wine lovers, thank you. I enjoyed you tremendously. Other great restaurateurs, they want good wine! Give it to them!

My customers have forever changed me. I had the best customers and to each and every one of you, I loved, apreciated and valued you Thank you 🫶🏻

As I’ve spent these last days mourning the closing of The Wine Shop, I would be remiss if I didn’t take a minute to tell you about the heart and soul of this place. Leslie, Ella and Drew. If I could wave a magic wand to have the best employees, it would pale in comparison to the reality. These three…. They have truly been the absolute best and we wouldn’t be a fraction of what we’ve been without them. I don’t know how I got so lucky, but I will forever be grateful. Drew is a culinary wizard. He’s so so so talented and such a tremendously great person. Leslie…. Leslie is going places in wine and I cannot wait to see what the future holds for her. Don’t let her soft spoken, sweet shyness fool you, she’s a dynamo!! And Ella, Ella…. You sweet, sassy young lady. That moment will come when you’re in a crowded room, wine is being poured and you’ll realize just how much you know….. you’ll stand there amazed at yourself and you’ll have earned every second of it.

To you three, thank you. From the bottom of my heart, thank you.

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the closing of The Wine Shop on the 21st of February We cannot express enough gratitude for the incredible support and loyalty you’ve shown us. You have truly made this journey unforgettable.

Together, we’ve shared our passion for wine and created a community that has elevated the wine experience in the Cedar Valley. While we’re sad to say goodbye, we are eternally grateful for every moment shared.

The Wine Shop would like to give a shout out to The Brown Bottle Cedar Falls. Solid wine by the bottle list my friends. I come in there for dinner sometimes, sit at the bar at look at your wine wall.

Tonight I noticed you had Rara Neagra (the grape) from Fautor Wines (the producer) in Moldova. Bold, smart, beautiful choice. Outstanding Wine…. If it were a CA wine you’d pay twice the price for the same quality. Moldova has a long tradition of wine making.

Many of my Wine Shop friends know the grape Rara Neagra. 😃

Many of my Wine Shop friends know about a lot of grapes.

I saw Barolo, Côtes du Rhône, a fabulous quality/price CA Cabernet Sauvignon….. just to name a few. Sommelier approved choices for sure.

Kudos. 🥂

Gran Reserva Rioja too please. It will have some age and be an outstanding quality/price. Paired with prime rib would be perfection.
