Just a post on a sad reminder for those of you who knew my mom, she has passed. She’s been in a nursing home for three years and over the last two weeks got progressively worse. I just thought I’d share that note since a lot of you knew her when she worked at the restaurant and was a big Steeler fan. For those of you that don’t know the other person in the picture, that is my younger brother Michael.

It is with heavy hearts that we share, Big Bottom Brewery is permanently closed as we were not able to sell.

We are incredibly grateful to have kept our doors open for 20 years of laughter, community, and memories. Thank you to everyone who supported us, whether you ate some pizza and wings, drank a (or a few) beers with us, enjoyed our OG Sunday buffet, and all the memories in between. You all became part of our story, and we could not have done it without you.

As we head into the holidays, we wish you all a happy holiday season! As always and we can’t stress enough, please continue to drink local and support your favorite locally owned breweries and businesses, your support truly goes farther than you can imagine.

We wanted to share an important update with all of you. As of today, the brewery will be closed indefinitely while we pursue a potential sale. We’re grateful to say that someone has stepped forward with interest, and we’re giving this opportunity the time and attention it deserves.

Thank you all for the incredible outpouring of support over the last two days, it has meant more than you know. We will keep you updated!

Good morning everybody. The day is here. We open at 11 AM for lunch and dinner needs.

We will have amazing dine specials today starting at 11 o’clock. Large cheese pizza starting at nine dollars each,Appetizers heavily discounted and much more. There were also be beer specials going on all day.

Come watch the Steelers – ravens game and enjoy all the great food and fun. Bob looks forward to seeing everybody.

Good morning! We ask all our loyal customers, and even those who may have only sat down at our brewery once, to please take a moment to read this lengthy post.

First, we want to thank all our customers for your continued support over the past nearly 20 years. It’s with heavy hearts that we share that we may be permanently closing on Monday. We have been trying to sell the brewery for quite some time, but unless a serious buyer commits over this weekend, we will have no choice but to shut the brewery down. As you’ve seen with breweries closing all over the state, the economy is tough right now, and all we can do is remind everyone that drinking local truly helps your favorite family-owned breweries stay open.

We will remain open this Saturday and Sunday, and we truly hope to see you one more time before we make any final decisions on Monday.

With that being said, and this being written by Bob’s daughter, I want to share how proud my family is of everything my dad built over the years. This restaurant and brewery, even though it stressed our family (and him) out more times than we can count, was his happy place. He loved supporting the community, making customers smile, scaring people at the bar, picking up babies and taking them on tours of the restaurant, giving any dog a piece of ham, and having so many wonderful interactions.

While this news is potentially sad, I ask that you please share any memory you may have of the restaurant, of my dad, or simply a happy moment you experienced there. This is a transition for our family, just as we know it will be for the people of the Dillsburg area who have come to love local beer, weeknight trivia, or live music on the weekends.
