Galactic Coast Brewing Company is an experimental, micro-brewery located just miles from the home of U.S. Manned Space Flight/NASA Mission Control (Johnson Space Center) and the water (Galveston Bay, Clear Lake and Gulf of Mexico) in the great state of Texas. We are avid, if not aggressive, craft beer enthusiasts and are proud to have brought commercial brewing back to Galveston County, which has

a tradition of famous breweries dating back to the 1800s although none in more than 30 years. Galactic Coast is unlike any brewery we are aware of as we engineered and built the brewery from the ground up ourselves and have no one to call for servicing anything, not our proprietary electric-powered brew house, our homemade glycol system (the G-Chill), our custom control panel featuring artificial intelligence or any of the other unique contraptions we have built or processes we have developed. We are excited to join the craft beer revolution in Texas that is changing the state's beer culture for the better and, according to at least one beer writer, is propelling the lone star state to the center of the American Craft Beer movement with unprecedented growth. But we also have loftier, out-of-this-world ambitions.

We have had a lot of people reach out to us following Hurricane Harvey. We appreciate it, but we faired better than most in our Dickinson, Texas community and ask that you please keep our friends and neighbors in your thoughts and prayers as these numbers recently released from the Dickinson Independent School District (DISD) and Family Services Center of Galveston are truly heart breaking.

Just a quick shoutout and welcome to all the powerboat owners, crew and enthusiasts visiting our waterfront paradise for the 10th edition of the Texas Outlaw Challenge. We are pumped to be joining our brothers and sisters from 14 other Texas breweries tomorrow (7pm start) to break in Texas' newest and largest air-conditioned beergarden and event center for the Texas St. Patrick's Day Beer Fest at the recently repurposed Mall of the Mainland food court and Stuttgarden Tavern Texas City (combining for more than 20,000 sqft of St. Patrick's Day fun!) This event will feature samples from each brewery, souvenir glassware, freebies and live music -- including our Brewmaster's band! Families Welcome. Must be 21 and up after 10 pm and to enjoy the amazing beer! Breweries participating include Galactic Coast Brewing, Galveston Island Brewing, (512) Brewing Company, Fetching Lab Brewery, Texas Beer Refinery, BAKFISH Brewing Company, Saint Arnold Brewing Company, Karbach Brewing Co., Southern Star Brewing Company, Saloon Door Brewing, Alamo Beer, Deep Ellum Brewing Company, SpindleTap Brewery, and Back Pew Brewing among others. The team at Galactic Coast Brewing wishes a very Happy Birthday to Astronaut and Author Clayton C. Anderson, who we learned is also quite the basketball and beer enthusiast. Earlier this year Anderson was the first customer to order a Galactic Coast Brewing Rocket Ride when Tookies Seafood opened. The shuttle and soyuz rocket veteran returned last week and possibly became the first astronaut to autograph a tap handle. We highly recommend his excellent book The Ordinary Spaceman, which is required reading for all GCB staff. ;-) We learned during our visit he is working on his second book. Happy Birthday and cheers to a real Rocket Man!!!

Happy to announce a surprise beer release today. The GPA, our Galactic Pale Ale (GPA), returns in a new role as our 'End-of-the-Semester Seasonal.' Clean, crisp and cleverly hopped, we drank as much as we could during last night's keg cleaning and filling. But we couldn't finish it all off ourselves, so stay tuned for details on which Galactic Coast Outposts will be serving this limited release offering. (We kept it such a surprise even our clients don't know about this. Well, until now.) Cheers!!!

Can't have a waterfront beer festival in the coastal city (El Lago, Texas) where more men who have walked on the Moon have lived than any other city on Earth without Galactic Coast Brewing, right? Correct!! So we hope to see you tomorrow as we join some "big brothers in brew" (Saint Arnold Brewing Company, Ballast Point Brewing & Spirits, Buffalo Bayou Brewing Company, etc.) and wineries at the Waters Edge Wine & Craft Beer Festival. Beer, wine and live music along the north coast of Clear Lake sounds like a winner to us!! Great way to start off the evening!! Cheers and have a great weekend no matter what you do!!

Those of us here along the Galactic Coast in Texas are wishing the best to our coastal neighbors along Florida's Space Coast. Stay safe!!

All signs are pointing toward deadly hurricane Matthew slamming directly into Space Coast—home to Kennedy Space Center and Cape Canaveral Air Force Station—on Friday. If that unfortunate prediction comes true, it’ll be the worst storm to hit the iconic Florida spaceport since it was built in 1962.
