Macho City (and Mike) soon relocated to Detroit where Scott Zacharias was added to the resident roster. The plan was to create a unique party that harked back to the heady days of legendary clubs like The Music Box (Chicago) and Paradise Garage (NYC), while always looking toward the future. This formula proved successful and led to capacity crowds at Macho City’s headquarters, the R&R Saloon. Mike and Scott, with their arsenal of dance (un)classics, began to attract a keen mix of disco heads, art students, club kids and leather daddies alike. Along the way, adding the talents of Chuck Hampton (Gay Marvine) and Jeffrey Sfire as resident DJs. Macho City provides a space where clubbers from all walks of life feel welcome. The focus remains on the music and its unifying power. Over the past sixteen years, Macho City has been host to some amazing international DJ talent.
