TA**US ~ April 20 through May 21
Stable, solid and earthy, yet ruled by feminine Venus. Who is level headed, practical, and great with money? Which SUN sign of the zodiac 12 would you guess I'm describing? Ta**us it is! The sign of the bull runs from approximately April 20 to May 21.
Ta**us is the 2nd sign of the zodiac. Ta**us is an EARTH sign (the other EARTH signs are Virgo and Capricorn) and is a solid, stable sign. Ta**us is highly identified with nature. A natural example of a Taurean is a farmer or a gardener who actually gets their hands in the dirt and feels the earth or animals, that acutely attunes and grounds them. Indeed, any of us that are trying to ground or calm can take a tip from the Taurean and spend time with nature.Nature is the Taurean’s spiritual playground.
A nature walk in the forest, near a lake or stream, enjoying the sun or even the rain will be near spiritual or meditative bliss for a Taurean. Spending cuddling time with a dog or pet for some tactile snuggling will stir innate nature as well as tactile and sensual feelings. These earth elements are a natural part of the Taurean. Building and construction and their design are also areas to which Ta**us gravitates.
As an EARTH sign the Ta**us roots run deep, family/clan is the center of the Taurean's life. Ta**us is nurturing and responsible and extremely loyal. Their family will come first in their life. Family ancestry and history is important to them. This is an area of great pride.
Ta**us is ruled by the beautiful goddess Venus. Ta**us reveres beauty. Certainly the beauty of nature, but Ta**us loves beautiful and fine things, as well, whether it is art or fine clothes or even linens. Taureans like to have the best of everything. Ta**us likes creature comforts: good food, good wine and wants to possess those things as well. Their motto is, "I own". They may be a devotee of the beauty of the arts as an artist, writer or actor. Taureans are quite creative. They might find themselves a collector, curator or regular attendee and supporter of the arts.
Ta**us may be a slow starter, even lazy at times. However, once they get started they are steady and persistent. They must be motivated in anything they take on. Plus, for a Taurean, work, plans or projects must be practical, logical and sensible. Good luck talking them into anything they don't see any point to or to which they don't take an interest. However, once they are committed, their determination for success is one of their strengths. Even better, if at the end of the work there is a reward, they love it - and the more indulgent the bonus, the better.
Usually conservative, Taureans like to play it safe and value security, although, they are generally very good with money. Careers that put the Taurean in that arena that they find appealing are in financial planning, insurance and investment.
The bull is the sign of Ta**us and the Taurean is physically powerful and strong, as well as, mentally quick. The bull also represents their tendency to stand their ground and be dominant. As a fixed sign, they can easily become stubborn, dig in and are known to be "bull" headed. Ta**us is acutely observant and astute, easily recalling details, so fare well in many negotiations or arguments.
Taureans are generally attractive and agile. They can be very generous, romantic and charming. Extremely sensory oriented: vision, hearing, smell and tactile, they relish sensual pleasures. They are usually very conscious of and appreciative of their body and it's indulgences. They prefer harmony in all situations, and are slow to anger. But, they do like having their own way and can be very possessive. Ta**us is known to be trustworthy.
Ta**us is basically simplistic and likes to get to the heart of the matter, to the bottom line. They are looking for the priority, the simplicity of truth.
Ta**us is at home in quiet and solitude. However, Ta**us must find periods of meditative time in nature to bring this earthy soul real peace.
