Mark your calendars! November 28th and 29th we'll be double-dippin, back-to-backin, takin over the Capital City! Saturday, the 28th, we'll be at Captain Roy's, 1900 Saylor Road, 7-10. Sunday, the 29th, we'll be at The Middlebrook Mercantile, 4125 Cu***ng Avenue, 2-5.

The tryptophan will be wore off by then from that Thanksgiving turkey, so we'll be wide awake and bringing the fire that we relied on to win the Central Iowa Blues Society's Iowa Blues Challenge two weeks ago!

If you can't make one, then make the other! Or, better yet, make them both! These are two of the most fun places to see live music in the Des Moines area.

Hey everyone! 👋 Tomorrow is our annual October/Spooky Sip N’ Thrift. We are super excited to have everyone join us here at Captain Roy’s - it looks like some really great weather is coming our way! ☀️

Please do NOT park in the boat spots and do NOT NOT NOT park on the grass. The city just laid fresh sod - you will be at risk for getting towed and fined. We apologize for any inconvenience - please park at Union Park & walk down if our lot is full. Thank you so much!!! 😊

Fall weather forecast update: Sunny and 62°F this Saturday! ☀️🍂

That means conditions are ideal for our 10-mile fall cruise along the new Riverbend Trail, and we’re just 4 days away!

We’re starting and ending at Captain Roy’s on October 17th at 10:30 AM. Expect a relaxed ride packed with fun stops, scenic Des Moines parks, and pit stops at local favorites like Triangle Tap, El Bait Shop, and SingleSpeed Brewing. Come pedal at your own pace, grab a drink, and hang out with friends, all while raising funds for Friends of Des Moines Parks!
