Samhain approaches, and Carw Gwyn prepares an early celebration with its Dark Electronica Night of the Soul event on Saturday, October 24th! Join us for an evening of dark industrial music and sinister fashion flaunted by you!

Lose yourself in heavy hardware synth by (VOX.MNM) live on the Carw Gwyn stage beginning at 8:00pm, and wear your finest goth or industrial ensemble, or darkly-themed costume to receive the accolades of fellow revelers in a peer-judged costume and attire contest, with prizes from Carw Gwyn for the top three entrants! (Please remember that we will need to be able to check IDs.)

There is no cover for Carw Gwyn patrons, so join us for drinks including craft meads, specialty cocktails, b**rs, ciders, and whiskies, and delicious dishes including our new fall specials! Kitchen opens at 4:00pm.

Cooper Braun returns to the Carw Gwyn stage with another evening of live traditional storytelling in his “Old Stores for a New Millennium” series – where classic tales find their voice in the modern age – on Wednesday, October 21st from 7:00-9:00pm!

Cooper is an award-winning teller who performs locally and nationally, and is committed to bringing live traditional storytelling into the new millennium. With his project, Stories with Spirit, he has frequently performed in-person, produced over 60 virtual story events, and performs with nationally respected tellers in many more.

Carw Gwyn is proud to be the home of Stories with Spirit, and we hope that you will join us at 1509 N. Marion St. Denver, CO 80218, on October 21st. Excitingly, there is word we might have the special appearance of another amazing teller from Stories with Spirit joining Cooper this month, so be sure to attend!

Fall brings new menu specials to Carw Gwyn!

Our maple acorn squash soup is comfort food for the season - savory and just a touch sweet with squash, maple syrup, cinnamon, allspice, dashes of garlic & cayenne pepper, with an apple & mixed nut garnish.

Our new spicy sausage plate is a warming twist to our popular sausage plate, with Italian sausage served over a bed of creamy mashed potatoes, with roasted red peppers and onions. Our traditional bratwurst plate with potatoes and sauerkraut is still available too, of course!

Both new specials are gluten free, and the squash soup is vegan. As the evenings grow cooler come enjoy these new offerings along with our regular menu items, including Cornish-style pasties and house-made stews!

Carw Gwyn is pleased to announce the arrival of new fall menu items, beginning this weekend! Our first seasonal addition is the long-awaited return of Dragon Meadery’s delicious semi-sweet Maple Acerglyn mead!

This style of mead from Dragon blends pure Colorado wildflower honey with rich maple syrup to give a delicate balance of flavors including hints of vanilla and light oak – perfect for cooler autumn evenings! We are pouring the acerglyn by the glass or in custom fights, where you can compare it with other delicious flavors.

Come to Carw Gwyn to indulge in this fall favorite, and watch for new dining menu items coming soon!

In collaboration with Danu’s Wardrobe, a fantasy pop-up bookstore and immersive event producer, we will host another book swap and crafting evening where creativity abounds! Bring your books, crafting supplies, and historical or fantasy attire!

This month’s theme will be “Spirits and Sages” in honor of the burgeoning spooky season, so come dressed for the coming dark times, and prepare to connect with those on the other side! Some lightly used books related to the event’s theme along with some basic crafting supplies, including bookmarks and jewelry, will be available.

As a special offering, Danu’s Wardrobe () will be giving 20% off their ‘Night of the Nine Realms’ 2nd Annual Fantasy Community Ball tickets bought during the event! More information available at Mead, Makers, and Manuscripts on October 7th.
