When Strange Craft Beer Company opened just south of Denver's Mile High Stadium in May 2010, it was the first nano-brewery in the city brewing one barrel of beer at a time. Strange has since become a destination spot for Colorado beer drinkers and taken home multiple awards, including two Great American Beer Festival medals and two World Beer Cups. Despite expansion to a 10 BBL brew house, owners Tim and Marni Myers are committed to small batches and nod to their nano roots with One Barrel Wednesdays for experimental brews. Each month, the brewery donates proceeds from a nonprofit tap to a local charity through their Strangers Helping Strangers program, and offers a lineup of food trucks and other community events.

We've got an exciting week ahead with the release of two fresh hop b**rs! Friday, 10/2, we're launching Heather’s Ale. This special brew is close to our hearts—after Tim’s good friend Gary tragically lost his sister Heather to breast cancer, we wanted to honor her memory with something meaningful. Over the years, Tim's seen his sister, sister-in-law, and niece each face their own battles with cancer, and we want to invite everyone to join us in raising a glass of Heather’s Ale in support of those affected. This year, $1 from each pint will go to Ovarcome, an organization dedicated to educating and supporting ovarian cancer survivors. So, come by on Friday and enjoy a b**r.

We’ve released a few new b**rs over the past week, but we couldn’t forget one of our favorites that returns this time every year. Our latest batch of Night of the Commet goes on tap October 2nd! Once again, our amazing friends Jeff and Barb worked hard all summer to ensure we had enough hops to brew this special b**r. We can't thank them enough for continuing to help us make it year after year. Save the date and come grab a pint before it’s gone!
