We’re getting artsy this Labor Day! Join us for a full weekend of festivities celebrating art, artists, community, and the people who make this place what it is.
FRIDAY | 6 PM
OPEN MIC + ARTIST ON TAP OPENING
It’s First Friday Open Mic with Mario Mata and Brandi Mata kicking off the weekend! As always, all talent levels are welcome, and performers get their first drink free. Plus, come explore the opening night of our new Artist on Tap exhibit, featuring a collective of artists brought together by Kinship Arts Movement. Together, the artists explore the theme “To the Land That Remembers,” reflecting on land, memory, lineage, grief, resistance, care, and the stories held beneath us.
SATURDAY + SUNDAY | NOON–8 PM
KAM MURAL FESTIVAL
We’re closing down the parking lot for an interactive “pull-up” mural fest hosted by Kinship Arts Movement. Professional muralists will be transforming some of our outside walls, but this event is open to all, meaning YOU CAN PAINT TOO.
Pull up to a wall, find a spot, and make something around the theme of community. Bring your art homies, your family, your extra paint and supplies, and come get messy. Plus: live music, performances, and vendors will be celebrating and creating throughout the weekend.
🍴 LAZIZ YA LEBANESE will be here Saturday.
SUNDAY | 8 AM
PANCAKE BREAKFAST + AURORA ROAD RUNNERS
First Sundays mean free pancakes and bacon with Aurora Road Runners, but stay and hang out to watch the muralists put the finishing touches on the walls.
And because one mural fest isn’t enough... Colfax Canvas is hosting their mural fest this weekend too, including their Live Music Mural Walk Friday night.
Fill your Labor Day weekend with art, great b**r, and friends. See you at the walls.
