The view from “my” barstool during my post-ride ritual in a little, hicktown dive whenever I circumnavigate the lake on my motorcycle here in North Texas. Such an interesting little joint!

I just found out that the owner/barkeep passed away a while back. I guess it has been a couple of years since I’ve been up that way on two wheels.

Rest easy, Bob, and please keep the beer cold in the hereafter. When my time comes, I’ll want my bourbon shot & beer after my journey... and as always, you keep the fives, my friend.

My article on my ride to investigate Aurora's alien gravesite is in the current issue of Ride Texas magazine on store shelves now. If you believe (or even if you don't) that there is extra-terrestrial life out there, give it a read, then saddle up your scoot and give it a ride.
I've included a map of my route along the North Texas backroads to find the gravesite and included some cool stops along the way. 👽

If you get the chance, give my article on page 11 of the current issue of RIDE TEXAS Magazine a read. I think it has a message that will resonate with most motorcyclists. If you love to explore the back roads on a motorcycle, then you will get it. The article is a memorial piece about beloved veteran RIDE TEXAS writer Gene McCalmont and the inadvertent lesson one of his articles taught me years ago.
As a side note, I even gave my dear Grandma Davis a mention in the article. I think she would have gotten a real kick out of seeing that... Love you, Grandma! :-)
