Beer Honest Co.

Beer Honest Co. Beer Honest came to be because of a belief in craft beer brewers, in underdogs, in dream chasers, in Soon, it couldn’t be ignored, and it wasn’t.

Beer Honest came from frustration over nonsense advertising by a big box beer company. Craft brewing began as a gentle breeze, but it didn’t stay that way. Especially by big box brewers; those multi-national companies mass producing flavored water with fillers and sponsoring every event and arena they can with serving strings attached. When craft brewing came out of the gate it wasn’t menacing to

the their market-share. When that changed, they got aggressive. They skipped light jabs, testing their new-found opponents muster. It was gloves-off. The first nonsense ads were produced by Anheuser Busch trying to bully the up-and-comers, calling craft brewers “hipsters with their artisan craft beer” - that quickly backfired. The next year it was Budweiser trying to convince beer drinkers that “size matters”. Also bs, and also backfired. In no time they were referring to themselves as “the original craft beer”. My response, “just beer honest.” And so Beer Honest took root. It's not because I'm an over-the-top craft beer connoisseur. I really enjoy it, but I’m no cicerone. What I am is an entrepreneur with a passion for sustainable development and strengthening local economies. I'm for the little guy - the ma and pa shop - the hometown folks trying to carve a path; create a life for themselves. Beer Honest exists because I believe in craft beer brewers, in underdogs, in dream chasers, in do it differenters, in community builders, in local economy supporters, and in doing all you do honestly. Follow us as we follow craft beer, support your local craft beer brewer and let's all beer honest!

"As of 2014, women consumed 32 percent of craft beer produced in the U.S...But as of 2016, only 25 percent of craft beer drinkers were women...And it’s at least possible that that has something to do with the fact that no one in the industry seems invested in a craft beer revolution for women."

Seems like could capitalize on a little equality... How can they better market to women?

Craft beers can have some... interesting names. Names that aren't particularly great for women. But why don't women in beer seem to care?

How do you feel about selling out to "big beer"?

"For all of the wrangling and shady dealing that AB-InBev and MillerCoors are conducting in the American beer market, equally disturbing is the propensity of beer geeks and even food & drink publications to rationalize and apologize for the buyouts and practices that are currently driving craft beer into the most dangerous situation it’s faced in more than a decade."

Craft beer sellouts have no shortage of rationalization for why buyouts don't hurt the beer industry. Here's why they're all full of BS.

Upset about AB-InBev's purchase of Wicked W**d Brewing? You aren't alone.

"...the reaction to the acquisition announcement is clear: independence matters because beer is not just about what’s in the glass — it’s also about who is behind the brands, their ethos, ethics and business behavior."

AB-InBev's acquisition of Wicked W**d Brewing has generated a strong reaction from other members of the small and independent brewing industry.

"...I’m beginning to wonder if the fast-growing popularity of these small-batch breweries and their products is more a fad associated with a decent economic expansion rather than a true change in the American beer drinker’s taste buds."

What do you think? Is the industry over-carbonated?

I love going to small craft breweries and sampling their beers. But I’m beginning to wonder if the fast-growing popularity of these small-batch breweries and their products is more a fad asso…
