I know many of y’all have heard some difficult news about 1880 Icehouse, and it truly breaks my heart to confirm that 1880 will be closing its doors for good.
First and foremost, I want to say thank you. 1880 Icehouse is incredibly grateful for all the years we were able to be open — through the good times and the tough times. Every single memory made inside those walls means the world to us.
I want to give a very special thank you to Don Harlan and Bill Kennedy for giving me, and the entire 1880 team, the opportunity to be part of the 1880 family. Your trust and support allowed us to create something truly special.
I also want to give a heartfelt thank you to every single member of the 1880 team — from those who helped open the doors on day one to those who are with us as we close them. Your dedication, hard work, and passion have shaped 1880 into what it is today. I am deeply grateful and appreciative of each one of you.
To all of our regulars, customers, friends, and supporters — thank you for showing up, for believing in us, and for making 1880 more than just a bar. You made it a home, a gathering place, and a community. We have been overwhelmed by the messages, memories, and kind words from so many of you. It truly means more than you know.
This was not an easy decision. It’s one of the toughest chapters we’ve had to close. But while this chapter is ending, we believe it also opens the door to new opportunities and new beginnings. What will never close are the memories — the weekends, the laughter, the music, and the friendships that were created at 1880. Those memories will stay with us forever.
We would love for everyone to help us celebrate and remember those moments. If you have photos, videos, or memories from your time at 1880, please share them on our page so we can all look back and celebrate what we built together.
We invite everyone to join us one last time this Friday, February 6th, for a farewell social night as we say goodbye to 1880 Icehouse and celebrate the incredible years we shared together before we close our doors permanently.
This is not a goodbye… it’s a “see you soon.”
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for standing with us until the very end.
— Mauricio Zurita, kellie Parker & The 1880 Icehouse Team.
