Sad to see this news. He put on a great performance at Corn Fest last year.

Rob Base, one-half of Rob Base & DJ E-Z Rock, who was best known for the hit “It Takes Two,” has died at 59 from cancer.

“Rob’s music, energy, and legacy helped shape a generation and brought joy to millions around the world. Beyond the stage, he was a loving father, family man, friend, and creative force whose impact will never be forgotten,” reads a statement on his social media account. “Thank you for the music, the memories, and the moments that became the soundtrack to our lives.”

The DeKalb Corn Fest Community Stage at the Egyptian Theatre is returning August 28-30th, and we’re looking for performers to help make this year’s festival weekend unforgettable.

Whether you sing, dance, perform comedy, play in a band, or have a unique act to share, we’d love to hear from you!

Interested performers can email [email protected] with their name, type of act, and a video sample of their performance.

As a nonprofit theatre, creating opportunities for local artists and performers to take the stage is one of our favorite parts of Corn Fest. 🌽
