We had a very special guest here at The Princess Theatre during pre-show for the Twitty and Lynn and Ricky Skaggs shows. Leah Faith is an amazingly beautiful young woman with an absolute love of traditional country and bluegrass music. She is non-vocal, but you can see and feel every note and lyric through her eyes and expressions.
She got the full VIP treatment from Tayla Lynn and Tre, including being fully involved with their soundcheck on stage. Ricky Skaggs and Leah Faith bonded immediately. She got to watch and groove to his pre-show soundcheck, and then Ricky loaded her up with signed memorabilia, before asking Leah Faith and her family to join him in a heartfelt prayer.
Leah Faith was born with a brain malformation called Holoprosencephaly or HPE. A lot of children born with HPE do not live past 5 years of age. Leah Faith will be 22 in September.
Although she’s unable to speak, she is able to communicate in her own way. Music has played a major role in that from an early age, when she first heard that fiddle in Alabama’s song Mountain Music.
Leah Faith, you have truly blessed and changed our lives, and we are so honored to have you as a part of our forever Princess family.
