Tom's Full Review:
Dogfish Head Craft Brewery (Delaware), “Punkin Ale”, 7% ABV
Why drink it? The traditionally stronger seasonal pumpkin/yam b**rs such as Southern Tier Pumking or Warlock have too much "Pumpkiny" flavor for you. But you also find most Pumpkin c***rs too sugary, sweet, or light. Call this one a nice “high middle ground” of pumpkin b**rs. Enough flavor and ABV to notice without overpowering you.
Call it the “perfect holiday relationship”
Bring it to Thanksgiving dinner, won’t offend anyone.
Goes great with the traditional turkey, gravy, mashed potatoes, stuffing, pumpkin pie meal.
You don’t have to worry about seeing it after New Year’s. (only released this time of year)
Looks good (check out the fun can art).
Smells good (Pour it in a wide mouth glass to really sniff it).
Helpful (7% ABV) with tricky family conversations (What happened to that pumpkin b**r you brought last year? Did you break up?).
Have a few and forget about your Eagles (I mean troubles).
Age appropriate? 31 years old (original release 1995). No pressure. Bring it
